Agentic coding is changing the software industry and will continue to do so. I enjoy writing software and I enjoy the creative process that agentic coding enables. I continue to test out new agent harnesses and models in my coding practice.

Writing

Pure LLM generated text is vacuous, turgid, and all round vomit educing. The words I write on this blog are my own and I frequently hit publish before I’ve done an edit. There are times I use LLMs, including grammar checkers, for research and editing. See How I Write With AI for more on this.

I am appalled at the ethics behind AI generated visuals. I do not intentionally use AI generated visuals on in my personal work.

Ethics

Much better writers than myself have recounted the environmental and ethical impacts of foundation model training and aggressive data centre expansion. I follow news and writing about this very closely and use agentic tools according to my best judgement.
